Lawyer questions Chanel case Paarl The lawyer of the Franschhoek man who allegedly strangled his wife, believes police should have concluded their investigation into the murder before arresting his client. Johan du Toit, 26, appeared in the Paarl Magistrate s Court on Wednesday. He is suspected of murdering his wife, Chanel, in their home on the farm Dieu Donn outside Franschhoek in July.
